National Recycling Day 20 September 2019

Many of us have well-meaning intentions to save the planet, but when it comes to compromising on convenience, this can prove to be difficult.

What isn’t difficult is separating organic waste (like vegetable peels and leftovers) from your dry recyclables, such as newspapers, milk cartons, plastic cool-drink bottles and glass jars. When you choose to recycle, you’re helping someone to feed their family. You’re relieving strain put onto precious landfill space. And you play a role in turning recyclables into other items too.

So before you bin it, we’re asking you to Pause. Sort. Recycle That!

National Recycling Day forms part of Recycling Week (16 - 21 September 2019). A great deal of fun awaits you on our social media pages. Stay glued to Mpact Recycling’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, where the best recycling warriors stand to win big by snapping a recycling selfie! #AreYouGoingToRecycleThat could mean that you walk away with a Takealot Voucher to the value of R250. T&Cs apply.

Tune into 947 Radio’s fly-on-the-wall weeklong experience as they hop on an Mpact collections truck and go on a recycling journey with us. Don’t worry about missing out on any of the action, because we're bringing the activations to a screen near you! Mpact Recycling and a Mrs SA finalist will be sharing the journey on our social media pages to get you into the recycling spirit.

Full details for events and competitions can be found on our Mpact Recycling social media platforms. From competitions, to journeys, to recycling tips made easy – we’re roaring to go this National Recycling Day.
