Mpact Recycling is the leading paper and plastic recycler in South Africa and has partnered with the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa pageant, a woman empowerment programme, for the fourth consecutive year. Through the partnership with Mpact Recycling, the Mrs South Africa Semi Finalists are required to work alongside Mpact Recycling on community projects with the aim of: promoting recycling awareness, supporting fund-raising initiatives and increasing recycling volumes. The partnership is valuable as it spotlights the importance of recycling.

The 100 ladies have been grouped into a team of 5 semi-finalists and have been allocated a specific community project – these constitute as working at either a Hospice or SPCA or old age home etc.

Our mission is to generate 10 tonnes of recycling for this particular community so that they benefit financially; as Mpact Recycling pays the community for their recycling.
